Starve your distractions

Hello lovelies๐๐๐ welcome to Grace inspires, thanks for checking out every of our writeups. I'm grateful for those amazing feedbacks received over the last writeup, seeing it all on your status is a thing that really give me joy, together let's impact ๐ช๐ช๐ช our generation.
I pray your eyes of understanding is enlightened as you go through this, amen.
Today, I will like to tell you about a man whose name is Daniel. Daniel can be said to be a disciplined man who chose to be focused regardless of the various distractions around him because he understood that those things that come to his ways in form of pleasures could be a weight that will prevent him from running the race that was set before him and as a result, he starves himself in order to reach his goals and become fulfilled. (You can read Dan1:1-21)
Distraction can be analogized to anything that profligates one's attention from doing the right thing at the right or appropriate time and not just any time, or anything that prevents one from doing things the way they should be done.
For instance, it is expected of every child of God to study the word, pray always, preach the word and also build an intimate relationship with God. Anything that prevents you from doing this is a distraction!
Distractions could come in various ways either from social media, peer groups or the environment you find yourself. Therefore, there is a need for you to starve your distraction and feed your focus for you to become fulfilled in life, and this is not only applicable to our spiritual lives but also to our academics, finances, businesses or careers and other areas of our lives.
However, we need to first recognise or identify our distractions before we can starve it and discipline ourselves. After which we can then strategize a plan to overcome it, probably by setting boundaries for ourselves just like Daniel who chose to deny himself of the king's delicacies. Although, doing this might look like you are depriving yourself of certain pleasures, but it is practically unavoidable for you to do to reach your goals and be fulfilled in life.
In the process of doing this, do not rely on your strength or intellect, because by strength shall no man prevail but trust in the Lord heavily for help and also ask for grace, but do not take the grace of God for granted.
For you to become fulfilled, you need to starve your distractions and feed your focus.
