GRATITUDE

 GRATITUDE

Written by: Opeyemi olayiwola

Hello lovelies😍 you are specially welcome to Grace inspires. OMG🤭...it's a new year, I'm so glad we made it together.

Always seek to grow in the knowledge of God this year by beholding him at all times through his word and prayer because that is where your transformation lies. It's a year of light, speed, and restoration and may these become your testimony this year IJN, Amen.

I am sorry for being away for some time now and also, thanks for taking out your time to read every of our writeups last year, I'm indeed grateful for those awesome feedbacks, let's do it better this year💪💪💪.

I pray you find this helpful as you go through. Take your sit and get yourself a glass of water...Aright, let's go😇😇

Agnes and carol are sisters born into the family of Mr &Mrs. Lewis. They are loved by their parents, to the extent that they could go any length for them to be satisfied.

On a fateful evening, their mother went to the supermarket to get some groceries and she thought it wise to get something for her daughters, of which she later bought a silver wristwatch for each of them.

Agnes received the wristwatch joyfully but carol was not pleased with the wristwatch. Their mother asked what the problem was when she noticed her reaction. Carol then confessed to their mother how she would have preferred a gold wristwatch to the silver wristwatch her mother bought for her.

After their mother heard this, she was surprised and at the same time disappointed in her daughter, because she made her feel as though all her efforts to get them something nice was a waste. She told Carol that she was supposed to have appreciated what she bought for her first, before complaining. Carol felt remorseful for her action and later apologized to her mother.

Many of us today are like Carol, we always find it difficult to appreciate God and men, thinking what they've done for us is small and does not worth any appreciation.

Gratitude is the state of being grateful for what God or people has done for us.

Anytime we show how grateful we are to a person for what the person has done, the message we are trying to pass across to such a fellow is that we value what he/she has done.

Showing Appreciation does not reduce you as a person as some people may think of it, rather it shows you honor the person and it would also let people know who you are.

Learn to always appreciate those the Lord has brought your way or people that have helped you in one way or the other. It doesn't matter if they are your friends, younger ones or people that are older than you, always take time to appreciate the gift of men from God to you.

Always take time to appreciate both your biological and spiritual parents for how God has been using them for you.

Appreciate your wife/husband always, it shows you value and honor them.

Always appreciate anyone the Lord is using to impart knowledge in you, either your teacher or instructor.

Finally, learn to always appreciate God for what he has done, what he's doing, and what he is going to do. By so doing, God will be moved to even do more.

1Thess.5.18 - in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
