THE BROKEN EGG

I pray your eyes of understanding are enlightened as you go through this, Amen.

The shell of an egg protects the embryo from physical damage, dehydration, and contamination by microorganisms ( the entry of pathogens via the cuticle layer). It also provides a calcium source for the embryo, regulates gaseous exchange, and manages moisture loss. 

However, whenever the integrity of an eggshell is compromised, the functions stated above are compromised as well.

Not only that, Salmonella and other bacteria can get into the egg once the shell is cracked, especially if the membrane is broken, so eating cracked eggs can be very risky.

So also as believers, we must be very conscious of how we live our lives every day in order not to create a loophole for the enemy.

Just as the breakage of an eggshell can cause the egg to become rotten, ultimately damaged and useless, so also for believers, giving room for the devil could cause damage to our lives.

We must strive to ensure we live our lives circumspectly(careful to consider all circumstances and possible consequences).

 Our adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he MAY devour(1Pet.5.8).

The devil is not certain of who to attack, how do I know? This scripture made us understand that he's looking for whom he "MAY", not who he "WILL" devour. "May" is a conditional statement while "WILL" means being certain of what to do.

We can conclude that all the devil is doing is trial and error because he's not certain of who he will devour but he will find his way into a person's life if the condition to devour such fellow is met I.e if there's a loophole.

You will agree with me that if there's no breakage in an eggshell, it will be difficult for bacteria to enter the egg and damage it. However, because there's already a breakage in the eggshell, the bacteria do not need to struggle to enter the egg and damage it.

These loopholes can be in form of anything such as anger, pride, foolish talks, lustful thoughts, disobedience to God's word, unforgiveness, bitterness, hatred, malice, and so on.  Generally,  once a believer allows his flesh to take hold of him, there's going to be a loophole.

King Saul disobeyed God and that created a loophole in his life for the devil to devour him. The spirit of God left him and an evil spirit entered him. What a pity?

A believer can live a life without sin, so stop having the mentality that it's not possible not to sin. YOU CAN NOT SIN because you have the NATURE OF GOD in you, this should be your belief and confession because whatever a man thinks in his heart is what he will become.

1 John.5.18 - We know that those who have become part of God's family do not make a practice of sinning, for God's Son, holds them securely, and the evil one cannot get his hands on them.

Don't give room for the devil in your life.

 Love everyone.

Forgive the unforgivable.

Pray for your enemies.

Avoid foolish talking or jesting.

Pray that the love of God is shed abroad in your heart and live a life of LOVE.
